Spring has Sprung!

It seems as though spring is officially here, and with it has come new deliveries everyday here at the shop. Today we got 3 more additions to the Spring Nike SB line-up. First up is Nike SB Dunk Low Premium colorway designed by Brian Anderson. Next up is another colorway of the awesome all-new Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar Pro. Last but not least is an all-new Nike SB Blazer colorway. 3 great shoes just in time for Spring!

Also with today's delivery was a complete hardgood restock including Toy Machine & Foundation Nice Price full quality decks. These are awesome boards for a great price of $39.99 and as always free Jessup Griptape.

Welcome to Outer Space: Nike Zoom Omar Salazar SB

This month sees the introduction of a pro model shoe to the Nike SB lineup, the Nike Zoom Omar Salazar SB. Now if you've seen any of Omar's video parts especially his most recent in Alien Workshop's Mind Field, you know he is well deserving of this distinction. This new shoe incorporates Nike's FlyWire technology in the heel and side panel to make for a much lighter weight and stable skate shoe. This shoe also features Nike's largest Zoom Air Cushion recessed in the sole for extra comfort and protection from heel bruises. The shoe also sports a one piece toe-cap with TPU rubber for extra durability, as well as a zipper on the tongue so you can choose the amount of padding you want, or keep a spare set of laces! Speaking of the new Omar Salazar shoe, about a month ago our friends over at Nike SB called up JP and invited him to the official Omar Salazar shoe launch party this past weekend in San Francisco. As fate would have it, about a week before he was to fly out there he smashed his knee real good over at the mini-ramp. He was able to meet up with old friend and Buffalo local Ben Wall, who now works for Nike SB, and designed the space ship set for the Omar ads, as well as make a bunch of new friends. While out on the excursion, he was given a full tour of DLXSF and saw trucks made right here in the U.S.A. At the demo for the shoe release, amazing skating went down from the likes of P-Rod, Brian Anderson, Daryl Angel, Ishod Wair, James Craig, and the man of the hour himself, Omar Salazar. The party for the shoe launch had a space ship photo booth and performances from the bands Earthless & Shrinebuilder. JP was even able to meet up with shop local/family member Charles Martin who is in SF for art school and share the awesome time with him. Needless to say when you see the photo of his knee, he wasn't able to skate while he was out there, but he still made the most of it and had a great time. Click below to see photos of JP's trip!!!!

New Nike SB & CONS shoes have arrived!

Today, the UPS guy showed up early with the start of our shipment of Nike SB shoes for this month. First up we have a new colorway of the Nike SB Zoom Bruin. The Bruin is a Nike team favorite and Nike/Sunday Team Rider Dan Plunkett's shoe of choice. They feature a super grippy vulcanized sole and are right out of the box skateable. Also in the shipment is an awesome new colorway of the Nike SB Dunk Hi. Also in the shipment are the Nike SB "Wallenburg" Dunk Low. This Dunk colorway is inspired by the 20-year "birthday" of the palm tree growing at the base of the 2nd step of the infamous Wallenberg Big 4 spot. The white sole with grey piping represents the waxed bottom stair that people have been skating as a ledge for the past 20 years! Nike once again has done an excellent job on these! These first 3 shoes we received are available at select brick and mortar shops only, and not to any mail-order Nike SB accounts. Also, all new CONS have arrived. First up in the Spring shipment are black/white Cons Pappalardo Pro. The Pappalardo Pro features a super grippy vulcanized sole with no toe bumper for maximum "flick" and grip. Also in the mix are all-new red/white Pro Skate Ox and a restock of the black/white Pro Skate Ox. CONS have been making extremely amazing skate shoes. All CONS feature TempurPedic Memory Foam in the tongue and collar for extra support and comfort. All CONS shoes also come with what is arguably the best insoles in any shoes on the market right now. Of course if you saw the Elwood Dressin' For Recession Tour Video from this past October, you were already well aware that Sunday/Nike SB team rider and Skate Mental Am Dan Plunkett was riding for Elwood Clothing. However, they made it official by running Dan's first ever ad in the April 2010 issue of The Skateboard Mag. Also, Elwood put together this Welcome to the Team video to go along with the new ad. The Dango is Dead + Hardgood Restock!

Our friends over at Westside Skateshop sent us over a bunch of their new "The Dango is Dead" videos, which feature not only the newest Westside video, but all 4 previous videos they have put out. Westside's videos are among the most played here at hte shop. Good thing this box-set was released because all of our original copies have been played until they won't play anymore! Also, today we have a total restock of hardgoods coming in, including the new Realicon series from Real as well as all-new stuff from the latest DLXSF catalog (new AntiHero, Krooked, Thunder, Spitfire). We will also be restocked on the ever important Bones Bushings as well as more $40 Price Point boards from Real, AntiHero, Krooked, Toy Machine, & Foundation. New stuff has been arriving daily at the shop!! Today the UPS driver greeted up with a ton of boxes filled with all kinds of cool stuff. First up is some more Nike SB Zoom Air Paul Rodriguez 2.5s. These new P-Rods use a slimmed down version of the upper from a P-Rod 2, and puts on a super grippy, flexible vulcanized sole. The new sole makes for excellent right out-of-the-box skate-ability. They also feature a thin memory foam insole and recessed airbag in the midsole for more board feel, and less heel bruises.

These super limited Nike SB "ACG" Dunk Mid Pro also showed up today. This Dunk is available at only select SB accounts and not available at any online accounts. We got a super limited size run of them, and they go great with this Nike SB ACG Jacket. Grab em' before they're gone!

Last but not least, we got completely restocked on hardgoods. All-new boards from Real, AntiHero, Krooked, as well as $39.99 price point boards from Toy Machine and Foundation. Cons Product (RED) Pappalardo Pro has arrived!!

Well, anybody that knows me knows that I'm super psyched on Anthony Pappalardo, so these new CONS Product (RED) Pappalardo Pros showing up today really made my day. CONS continues to do it the right way on Popps' introductory pro model shoe, with TempurPedic Memory Foam in the tongue and collar for maximum comfort and protection. More Nike SB!!!

Today, 2 more boxes from Nike SB showed up at the shop! First up is the Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable Nike SB Dunk Hi Premium Quickstrike. These Dunks are inspired by BIll Cosby's instantly recognizable Dr. Huxtable character and the vibrant sweaters he wore while on The Cosby Show. As with all Quickstrikes these are super limited, and we only received a single size of these so get em' while they're around!

These all-new Nike SB Zoom Air Paul Rodriguez 2.5's also just showed up as well. This new style takes the upper of a P-Rod 2 and puts it on a vulcanized outsole making for a much lighter shoe and right out of the box skate-ability and board feel. The vulc sole features a deep zig-zag tread pattern for superior grip and a longer-lasting bottom sole. Just as we were closing up tonight, the UPS truck pulled up and dropped off this month's shipment of Nike SB shoes and apparel. This month's shoes feature some awesome colorways in classic SB styles. It also sees the introduction of all-new Nike SB Chino Pants to the apparel line. Also in the apparel shipment is this awesome Nike SB ACG Jacket. New Nike SB Quickstrikes + More!

Two surprise Nike SB Quickstrikes showed up to the shop today. Both shoes are inspired by the popular TV show LOST. First up is the Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 SB Dunk Hi Pro. This Dunk's colors are inspired by the fictional Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 plane that crashes which gives the base storyline of the show. The insoles of the Dunk feature sonar readings of trying to locate the lost plane. The second quickstrike that showed up is the DHARMA Initiative Blazer SB. This shoe bases it's colors off the DHARMA Initiative Jumpsuits worn by characters in the show. The back label SHOE comes from everything being labeled what it actually is in the show (e.g. FOOD, WATER, BEER). As always with quickstrike shoes, these are super limited so get em before they're gone! Oh, and speaking of Nike SB, make sure you check the Nike SB site this Monday, as part II of the Don't Fear The Sweeper Tour Video will be posted, featuring footage from their stop in Buffalo!

Also new in the shop are Anthony Van Engelen's newest pro model on Vans, the AV6. AVE's new shoe takes one of the best toe design's in skateboarding from the Vans Classic Era and meshes it with the classic look of the Vans Old Skool to create a new timeless, functional skate shoe. These shoes also feature Vans Ortho-Lite insoles for optimum support and comfort. Also be sure to check out the Spring 2010 Real catalog over at DLXSF. When we opened up the shop today, we were greeted with the delivery of a shipment of brand new Nike SB shoes. A couple awesome videos coming in!

This Friday, January 8th we have a couple anticipated videos coming into the shop. First up is the Girl/AntiHero Beauty and the Beast 2 tour video. This one is sure not to disappoint with some standout skating from familiar faces (Brian Anderson, Eric Koston, Julien Stranger) from the last tour as well as some fresh ones (Chris Pfanner and Vincent Alvarez). We also have a restock of the February 2010 issue of Thrasher Magazine. Sunday/Nike SB team rider and Skate Mental am Dan Plunkett has a photo in the Nike SB "Unleashed in the East" article. The mag comes with a free hour long dvd, with full parts from Sammy Baca, David Gravette, Devin Apello, Nick Trapasso, and Andrew Allen. Some Recent Goings-On!

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday, the chance to relax and appreciate the little things doesn't come by too often so you have to take advantage of it when it does. Tons of things have been going on, for starters our very own Jake Donnelly has a full interview in the February 2010 issue of Skateboarder Magazine. You can check out the photos from the interview on our front page. Jake also has footage in the new adidas skateboarding SF web video. Also, in other magazine news Sunday/Nike SB team rider and Skate Mental AM Dan Plunkett has a 2-page photo in the February 2010 issue of The Skateboard Mag. You can check that out on the front page as well. Speaking of Nike SB and our front page, if you happen to get the new Wieger enjoi ad when you visit the shop site, that's no mistake. That photo was shot in the Anchor Bar right here in Buffalo right after JP bought those guys one of the infamous Anchor Bar Chicken Wing hats. As luck would have it, it is now the current enjoi ad. Last but not least, it looks like friend of the shop/Skate Mental pro Brad Staba gave us a shout-out over on the Skate Mental website in the news section. All-New Adidas!

Some awesome new Adidas shoes have shown up, right in the nick of time! This shipment of Adidas includes a new colorway of the Dennis Busenitz Pro. The insole on these Busenitz shoes, features artwork by the artist Delfi. Also, new to the lineup is the Adidas Original Skate. The Skate is Adidas original skate shoe from the 70s and has been been reintroduced to their line. As you can see with the popularity of vulcanized sole among skateboarders, and shoes like the Skate, skate shoes have come full circle. Also in this Adidas shipment, a restock of the classic Black/White Campus Vulcs and a new colorway of the Campus Vulc Mid. As anybody who has/is skating Adidas knows they are great right out of the box skate shoes, with super good board feel, grip, and durability. Happy Holidays!

December Nike SB & More!

Just in time for the holidays, the December shipment of Nike SB shoes & apparel arrived at the shop today. This month's line-up consists a full line of collaborative apparel by Nike SB & Skate Mental, including a hockey jersey that looks like something from the movie Slap Shot, a winter parka with hidden pockets to hide a 6-pack of beer, as well a limited edition SB Dunk Hi Premium, all designed by friend of the shop/Skate Mental owner Brad Staba. This month's shoes also feature a new model in the Zoom Classic SB High, as well as a Zoom Stefan Janoski SB Premium, Dunk Low Pro SB, Bruin SB, and last but not least a Zoom Air Veloce.

In addition to the aforementioned Nike SB shipment, these new Adidas Campus Vulc shoes showed up at the shop. In other Adidas news, Adidas/Sunday Team Rider Jake Donnelly celebrates his birthday this Sunday, December 6th in Tampa, skating the Tampa Am Contest. Good Luck and Happy Birthday Jake, We Love Ya! This Saturday, November 14th we will be releasing 2 Nike SB Quickstrike shoes the much anticipated "Gucci" SB Dunk HI Premium as well as the Nike SB X HUF Blazer Premium SB Special Edition. The Gucci Dunk Hi was designed by Girl Skateboards team manager Sam Smyth and feature his tag name RESN on the tongue from his tagging days in SF. These Nike SB Blazer SB Special Editions are a collaboration with HUF Skateshop in SF. They are exclusive to HUF Skateshop, but the guys at Nike were cool enough to hook us up with a limited run as well! As with all Quickstrikes, these are super limited and highly anitcipated, so make sure you get a spot in line early!

The November line-up of Nike SB shoes arrived at the shop today and as always they did a spectacular job. This month's shoes include the "Bloody Gums" SB Dunk Hi Premium a colorway inspired by what you might see when brushing your teeth if you have a gum disease or just simply brush too hard. Other sneakers in this month's shipment include an SB Dunk Mid Premium, Blazer SB, Zoom Air Bruin SB, Zoom Air Harbor SB, and last but not least a Zoom Air P-Rod III. Also, our weekly board order came in today, with some awesome boards from Real, Antihero, and Toy Machine among others and a restock in Ace and Thunder Trucks.
